Let's be honest, anyone can write what they want to about their company on their website and it is usually just a lot of "feel good" reading to make you, the reader, think that they are the most impressive company around. We can tell you about all of our past projects and how impressive we are, but we feel the best advertisement for us is our actual customers whom we have completed projects with. Our History

Miller-Tippens was formed by Lance Miller and Sam Tippens in 2005, Aaron Owen joined Lance and Sam in January of 2008. After college graduation we all three were employed by other commercial construction companies and worked our way up to being the lead estimators/project managers for our past employers. Over time, we realized there were limitations to partnerships at those locations and differences in direction in which the companies were headed so we have banded together and are moving forward in the same direction. We pride ourselves in the fact that we are three of the industry's best leaders in negotiations, design, estimating and project delivery who are unified with the goal of being the very best in our industry.

Although the "history" of Miller-Tippens is not lengthy, our accumulated time in the industry has proven that this industry needs a "fresh look" occasionally and there was a need for a new builder whose members all shared the same values. Personally, we have all been apart of each other's lives for the past 15 years and have a great friendship. Our friendship has made working together a great experience for us and our customers. As time goes by, our history gets longer and so does our satisfied client list.

Team Members

Lance Miller
Lance has sixteen years experience in the construction industry, Seven as Vice-President of W.L. McNatt & Company. He has been 100% responsible for over $67 Million in construction. Being involved in all facets of construction: procurement, cost estimating, writing contracts, value engineering, contracts, change orders, submittals, etc has rounded Lance into a great construction leader. There is a reason why he is known as "Little General".

Sam Tippens
Sam has fourteen years experience in the construction industry. He served as Project Manager and owner's representative for Canam Construction and Dominion Leasing, a nationwide owner/builder of private prisons and other GSA projects. There, he developed and constructed large private prisons and other large government occupied space ($30M avg.). As owner's representative, he coordinated architects and engineers throughout the design and development phases, and then managed each project from start to completion. This included managing all budgets, contracts, subcontractors, and material suppliers. He founded SJT, Inc in 2000 and has specialized in design build, negotiated projects and real estate development since its inception. Sam is a technical and mechanical wizard and if ever there is a design problem that needs to be resolved, he is your man!

Aaron Owen
Aaron was raised in the construction industry, as a builder's son. So from a very early age, he spent many summers physically working on construction sites and learning the "hands on" trades. After graduation he put his field experience together with his education and quickly rose to the top of Anderson & House, Inc. His ability to work so well with others, to understand the needs of his customers and his continuing knowledge of the changing construction means and methods has made him the ideal professional for designing, value engineering and negotiating projects to meet the needs of his customers. Customer relations is one of Aaron's biggest assets, he delivers what is agreed upon and his client list is strong but ready to make it longer and stronger.
