Our History
Miller-Tippens was formed by Lance Miller and Sam Tippens in 2005. After college graduation we were employed by other commercial construction companies and worked our way up to being the lead estimators/project managers for our past employers. Over time, we realized there were limitations to partnerships at those locations and differences in direction in which the companies were headed so we have banded together and are moving forward in the same direction. We pride ourselves in the fact that we are three of the industry's best leaders in negotiations, design, estimating and project delivery who are unified with the goal of being the very best in our industry.
Although the "history" of Miller-Tippens is not lengthy, our accumulated time in the industry has proven that this industry needs a "fresh look" occasionally and there was a need for a new builder whose members all shared the same values. Personally, we have all been apart of each other's lives for the past 15 years and have a great friendship. Our friendship has made working together a great experience for us and our customers. As time goes by, our history gets longer and so does our satisfied client list.

Testimonials

In these days of high material escalation and inflated bids, it is difficult, within the low bid environment of a major State university to find a contractor with high ethics and a keen awareness of time, budget, and quality.
We were fortunate to find such a contractor in Miller-Tippens Construction ompany. On the OSU-Oklahoma City Physical Plant Building projecct, Miller-Tippens not only completed the project well within the allotted schedule, but also stayed within the tight budget, never letting the quality of their work waiver. The few change orders associated with the project were priced fairly and were completed in a timely manner. Miller-Tippens was able to achieve all the above by starting the work as soon as the Notice to Proceed was issued, worked diligently using a logical sequence of work schedule and keep all university constituents well informed. In addition, the site was well maintained and was kept clean on a daily basis.
Not only do we recommend Miller-Tippens Construction Company to all, but we look forward to the next opportunity we will have to work in concert with this highly qualified and well managed general contracting firm.
Respectfully,
Arlene Lanman

Dear Sam and Lance,
I appreciate greatly your work on our project. All the comments I have heard about Miller-Tippens Construction have been terrific. You have been an asset to this team.
When we chose your company as our general contractor to build the new branch in Edmond, we had heard good comments about your work, and we wanted to build a relationship with you.
It was a good choice. You have been responsive to our architect, and to our subcontractors. You have moved the building along quickly and efficiently. When changes needed to be made, you have made them agreeably. Your foreman has been very professional.
Thank you for your good work and professionalism.

Mayor, City of Edmond
Sam,
I would like to express my appreciation to Miller-Tippens for their efforts on the Festival Marketplace Plaza Project, Kickingbird Tennis Center Project, Edmond City Council Chamber Renovation Project, and Fire Department Project. As you are aware, these projects have all faced unique challenges from outside forces such as inclement weather, tight timeframes, and intense community scrutiny. In each case, Miller-Tippens and their subcontractors have been willing to "do whatever it takes" to allow the project to succeed. In particular, the accessibility of the company owners has helped to facilitate a timely, positive outcome for the projects. I look forward to working with you on additional projects in the future.
Mike Clark
Director of Construction, City of Edmond
Your participation as the project manager on the Mustang Town Center project
was an asset to the project. That project had a variety of scope including: a
library, a meeting center, a recreation center, a senior center all in one building;
a park with trails and pavilion, a five-plex ball field with toilet/ concessions
building, and an outdoor aquatics facility with locker room/ concessions.
The ideas and resourcefulness you provided to address the challenges that arose
in the process of construction were definitely beneficial to the project.
You personable nature and concern to provide a good product were
appreciated.
Your processing of modifications and scheduling helped keep that project on
track for a cost effective solution that was built on time.
We look forward to working again with you.

Dear Lance,
This letter is to inform you that we truly appreciate and thank you for the effort you and your firm put
into the referenced project. In order to satisfy the Owner. Architect. and Engineer, all of which were
somewhat demanding, took a lot of patience and ability. This you demonstrated effectively.
When you couple all the obstacles we had on this project, together with the fact that we have never put out a perfect set of plans and specifications, (this job was no exception), the task might seem insurmountable.
However. you performed magnificently well and the resulting end product is excellent.
In a competitively bid project. such as this, where the low bidder is selected, you normally do not get
this kind of cooperation and performance.
Without your diligence and cooperation, this project would never have turned out this great.
Again I say "Thanks for a job well done".
Sincerely,
Victor R. Schuelein, PE
